Miranda Lambert's revolution nabs 7 ACM nominations!

A month away from her first ever tour of Australia, CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert has continued her streak as the hottest woman in country music by racking up an extraordinary seven Academy of Country Music Award nominations – including Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Single and Song of the Year. This comes on the heels of her recent Grammy Nominations for Female Country Vocal Performance, Country Collaboration (with Dierks Bentley & Jamey Johnson) and Best Country Album and her wins at November’s CMA Awards, at which she received a record nine nominations – more than any other female in history. The 27 year-old Texan has been sweeping awards ceremonies left and right since the release of her platinum-selling fourth album ‘Revolution’ in 2009.

Also nominated for three ACMs is legendary singer-songwriter Alan Jackson. Lambert will be the international special guest on Jackson’s debut Australian tour this March, which sold out in half an hour. The only show where fans can still purchase tickets to see the two superstars is the CMC Rocks the Hunter 2011 festival at Hope Estate, NSW March 5 & 6.

CMC Rocks the Hunter is the biggest international country lineup ever assembled in Australia. In addition to Jackson and Lambert, the festival also features Joe Nichols (US), Jack Ingram (US), Kasey Chambers, Emerson Drive (CAN) and Troy Cassar-Daley, among many other local, US and CAN artists. Tickets are available through Ticketek or by visiting http://www.musicchannels.com.au/RocksTheHunter2011/ticketing.asp
