MIRANDA LAMBERT FORCED TO CANCEL AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES

Due to severe upper respiratory infection, Miranda Lambert is unable to join country superstar, Alan Jackson, on his Australian Tour, beginning this week. Lambert performed this weekend in the States, but her condition worsened and by Sunday, her physician ordered complete rest.

“I was very much looking forward to Australia with Alan Jackson and performing for all the music lovers down under”, said Lambert.

For Alan Jackson’s five Arena shows (in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane), Jasmine Rae will now perform the second spot on each night, with country music’s hottest duo, McAlister Kemp, added as the opening artists.

At CMC Rocks the Hunter this weekend, John Williamson is now confirmed to step in for Miranda Lambert and is excited about being added to the Festival line-up.

Tickets to CMC Rocks the Hunter are available here.

JASMINE RAE RELEASES ‘I’LL TRY ANYTHING’ FEATURING US SUPERSTAR JOE NICHOLS

‘I’ll Try Anything’ is the second single from Jasmine Rae’s upcoming new album Listen Here, which is released next Friday, March 4.

The track has been serviced to Australian country radio this week and follows the album’s first single, the #1 country radio hit ‘Hunky Country Boys’ (also at #2 on the CMC Top 30 Countdown this week).

‘I’ll Try Anything’ is a duet featuring special guest and US country superstar Joe Nichols. Joe Nichols’ single, ‘The Shape I’m In’ is currently hotting up our country airplay charts and was a recent CMC Country Pick. Joe Nichols' first ever Greatest Hits album is available now and includes 4 x #1 US hits.

"I'll Try Anything is a beautiful song about heartache and the things it can make you feel and do. This is my first duet and the most challenging song I’ve ever recorded”, says Jasmine Rae.

“Thanks Joe Nichols for coming into the studio and pouring your stunning, smooth, caramel vocals all over this track.”

The track is produced by Mark Moffatt.

On the same day Listen Here is released, Jasmine Rae begins her tour with Alan Jackson and Miranda Lambert. The sold out shows take place at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne (March 4), Acer Arena Sydney (March 7) and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (March 10, 11 & 12). Jasmine Rae will also appear on the main stage at CMC Rocks The Hunter on March 6.

Like Nichols and Australia’s king of country Lee Kernaghan who once described Jasmine Rae as “the hottest new artist in years”, Alan Jackson is another country superstar who has become a fan of Jasmine Rae’s music.

“I don't know Jasmine yet, but I heard her music and she sounds real good to me. I like her songs a whole lot”, said Jackson in the Sunday Telegraph last weekend.

Miranda Lambert's revolution nabs 7 ACM nominations!

A month away from her first ever tour of Australia, CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert has continued her streak as the hottest woman in country music by racking up an extraordinary seven Academy of Country Music Award nominations – including Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Single and Song of the Year. This comes on the heels of her recent Grammy Nominations for Female Country Vocal Performance, Country Collaboration (with Dierks Bentley & Jamey Johnson) and Best Country Album and her wins at November’s CMA Awards, at which she received a record nine nominations – more than any other female in history. The 27 year-old Texan has been sweeping awards ceremonies left and right since the release of her platinum-selling fourth album ‘Revolution’ in 2009.

Also nominated for three ACMs is legendary singer-songwriter Alan Jackson. Lambert will be the international special guest on Jackson’s debut Australian tour this March, which sold out in half an hour. The only show where fans can still purchase tickets to see the two superstars is the CMC Rocks the Hunter 2011 festival at Hope Estate, NSW March 5 & 6.

CMC Rocks the Hunter is the biggest international country lineup ever assembled in Australia. In addition to Jackson and Lambert, the festival also features Joe Nichols (US), Jack Ingram (US), Kasey Chambers, Emerson Drive (CAN) and Troy Cassar-Daley, among many other local, US and CAN artists.
