MORGAN EVANS NEW EP WHILE WE’RE YOUNG RELEASED AUGUST 24
“Someday we'll look back & smile, and
tell the stories, of the crazy things we've done, while we’re young.”–
Morgan Evans
Morgan
Evans
is geared up to release While We’re
Young on August 24, the follow up to his successful debut EP, Live Each Day, on Warner Music
Australia.
While
We’re Young was recorded in Nashville, produced by ex-pat Jedd Hughes, an acclaimed
singer/songwriter and guitarist. All
five tracks on While We’re Young were
written or co-written by Morgan.
The title track While
We're Young is an energetic, guitar driven anthem co-written with Jedd & Sarah Buxton, who also co-wrote Keith
Urban's hit "Put You In A Song". Sarah's writing credits also include
another Urban Smash, "Stupid Boy", and Big & Rich's new single
"That's Why I Pray" which has just cracked the top 20 in the US charts.
“I played Jedd and Sarah this chorus that I’d
written a few months earlier and we all had a great vibe about it. We all
related to it, so the verses came really naturally,” says Morgan. “It's about letting
go, living in the moment and making memories NOW that we can look back on with a
smile, have a laugh and reminisce. You know? The kind of memories that make us
who we are.”
“We
got so excited about the songs, that soon Jedd had pulled together some of my
favourite musicians in the world and we were recording. Their talent and unique
approach inspired me to work even harder to get the best out of my voice and my
guitar playing. Working with those guys really was a dream come true.”
Sweet
Home to You is a chilled, groovy road song, while Learn to Lose You
showcases Morgan’s soulful vocal as he sings about holding off heartbreak. The hard-driving
swamp-rock of Made For Loving You contrasts with the final track, the
heartfelt ballad Carry On.

Joe Nichols returns for 3 shows in September
Platinum selling US country star Joe Nichols will make his fourth visit to Australia this September to perform at the Deni Ute Muster on Saturday 29 and special concerts in Sydney on Wednesday 26 and Tamworth on Friday 28.
The CMA award winner, whose catalogue of hits includes Brokenheartsville and Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off, began his love affair with Oz in 2009, when he headlined CMC Rocks the Snowys. The love from fans, who've turned out in greater numbers on each subsequent visit, has been returned in kind by Nichols, who described Australia as 'what heaven's supposed to look like. Either that, or God's got a second home here'.
Joe will kick off his Australian trip with a performance at Sydney's Evan Theatre on Wednesday 26 September, followed by Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Convention Centre on Friday 28, his debut performance in the city.
Saturday 29 September will be his first time performing at the Deni Ute Muster, where he shares the bill with an impressive international lineup that includes Kelly Clarkson and The Living End.
Special guest for the Sydney show is Jasmine Rae, the ARIA nominee whose heartbreaking duet with Joe, I'll Try Anything, was a number one hit last year.
In Tamworth, Nichols will be joined by Morgan Evans, the Newcastle-based singer-songwriter whose debut EP Live Each Day was released earlier this year, with another set to drop in the coming months.
Tickets for these special performances are sure to be snapped up fast, so don't miss out.
