CMC ROCKS THE HUNTER - SAVE THE DATES!

XYZnetworks’ Country Music Channel (CMC), Rob Potts Entertainment Edge and Chugg Entertainment announced the dates today for Australia’s premiere roots and country festival - CMC ROCKS THE HUNTER 2012. The event will be staged at the beautiful Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley (NSW) over the weekend of FRIDAY 16TH MARCH to SUNDAY 18TH MARCH, 2012.

After three years at Friday Flat, Thredbo, the Festival moved to the Hunter valley in 2011, and fans and organisers alike were delighted with the new site. Saturday night’s Headliner, Joe Nichols, described the venue as “how I imagine heaven”. Since its inception in 2008, CMC ROCKS has gone from strength to strength, with fans flocking from all regions to see US superstars, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, SugarLand, Gary Allan and Joe Nichols; along with local stars, Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, John Butler Trio, Pete Murray, Ian Moss, Dan Sultan and The McClymonts - to name just a few of the event’s previous artists.

CMC ROCKS THE HUNTER 2012 will continue to deliver a world-class mix of Aussie and International talent again next year, against the picturesque backdrop of the Hunter. The lineup and ticket prices will be announced later this year and camping will be again available on site. But for now, please make sure you save these dates -

PETER McWHIRTER UNVEILS THE ‘DEVIL’S DAUGHTER’

Watch the new music video on Youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiYd1Cbe8bU

Fresh from opening for US country star Joe Nichols a couple of weeks ago, Peter McWhirter releases ‘Devil’s Daughter’. It’s the INSANE fourth single from ABC Music’s highly talented and creative new artist Peter McWhirter.

McWhirter’s debut album, Lucky As A Seven was released late last year and he earned a Golden Guitar nomination for his efforts.

‘Devil’s Daughter’ is off the charts! It’s the classic oh so tempting but oh so deceptive tale …with elements of raw Country, bluegrass and blues all piled together to create a song that is both crazy and fantastic at the same time.

Peter McWhirter’s debut single, the self-written ‘Humm’ topped the CMC Top 30 Countdown and he followed that with the Top 10 singles ‘I Will Stand By You’ and ‘Girls In The Summertime’.

The new single ‘Devil’s Daughter’ is at media from Monday May 23.
It’s from Peter McWhirter’s debut album Lucky As A Seven through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia
